After registering and verifying your email, you can add funds to your account and join a pool. You also have access to the information about previous pools and ongoing pools in more detail.

The cycle of a lottery pool

WinLotteryPool opens a pool. Members join an "open" pool. When the pool becomes "full", no more changes can be made. Next, the ticket is purchased and the pool is "active". After all the draws have been completed the pool status becomes "close" At that time the winnings are divided, according to their share, among the pool members. If a prize of $200,000 or more is won, a portion of the prize is distrubuted among all the members of any active pool. By signing up for the website and joining a pool you have already agreed to this.

Currently all numbers are picked via quick pick. Any user with enough funds to join a pool can enter an open pool. Log in and click "Join Pool". A pool consist of a ticket (for a particular type of lottery), with one or more sets of numbers, a number of draws, and a group of members. For instance: There can be a pool of 10 draws for PowerBall with one ticket containing one set up numbers for group of ten members. It could cost $1 to join such a pool (depending on how many enter said pool). One would be getting 10 chances to win and each member would receive an equal portion of the winings for that pool.

Pool is Opened

WinLotteryPool opens a pool. Currently only WinLotteryPool can "open" a pool. Any member can join an "open" pool. Members, with adequate funds, if so desired, can join a pool more then once. Their portion of any winings will reflect multiple entries. Sometimes WinLotteryPool will be a member of the pool. Either when starting a pool or to fill up empty spots. While a pool is open members are able to join or quit a pool. Funds in your account will reflect this. Funds are reserved while the pool is open.

Pool becomes Full

Once a pool becomes full, it is locked. Members can neither join nor quit a full pool. The ticket is purchased and the pool started. Monies removed from members reserve account and the pool is now ACTIVE. All members in the pool are considered active members. Only active members can receive monies from the winnings shared from a jackpot.

Pool is Closed

Once all the draws for a pool are completed, the day after the last draw, the pool is considered closed. Winings, if any, are distributed among group members and added to their respective fund. One can use funds to join another pool or withdraw them. Only winnings of $50 or more can be withdrawn

Other Information

You can join multiple pools. Pools can over lap, thus keeping your ACTIVE status and the possibility of sharing in a jackpot. For instance you could join a pool once a week for the entire year. Doing so will pile your chances of wining and it will be equivalant to buying a lottery ticket twice a week for 52 years!! We all know the longer you play the lottery, the better possibility of hitting a jackpot. Also, even if a pool that you are not a member of, hits a jackpot you get a piece. We all do!
